In search of the infinite, the present experimentations trace the multiple encounters and privileged instants taken to traverse the visual richness accumulated during numerous moments, sometimes as ephemeral as prominent, as strong as intangible.
The diversity of local and distant practices, of ways of living, of odours, of sounds : here the slowness of a carriage drawn by bullocks on a chaotic path, there the savage life of southern Africa, elsewhere the white sand beaches stretching at loss of sight, sheltering breathtaking coral reefs in the open sea; the painted face of natives living in the forests; the elegant dance of the stems balanced by the wind; the first spring foliages warming at the sun…
All these sequences caught among haphazard and various possible, scattered with contrasts, emotions, sonorities, tinted with plenty of shades, animated and inspiring, taken at the sources of oriental, oceanic, austral or close lands, have waved the materials covering the canvases and the papers, between permanence and solidity, fragility and ephemeral.
In a ceaseless experimentation state, the painted fields, put to the test of sanded mortar, papers, sometimes wrapping cardboard, invaded with colours, give to the “Lands of light” a fruitful mould, rallying evasion and existentialism. And the support is also suddenly covered with signs, traces of pencil, writings engraved in the fresh coats, graphite, charcoal, corresponding to the instant, the energy, the envies and the fascination of colour, raised by these particular moments.
